Long before I decided to pursue filmmaking as a career, I was spending countless hours creating and editing my own projects. Even after exploring so many different aspects of filmmaking, editing and post-production remain where I feel most at home creatively.

I love taking all the individual pieces of a project and discovering how they can come together to tell a story—finding the right pacing, shaping performances, layering sound and visuals, and watching the story take on a life of its own in the edit. There’s something incredibly rewarding about taking raw footage and transforming it into something that makes an audience feel something.

At the same time, my experiences in film school have introduced me to other areas of filmmaking that I genuinely enjoy. Working in different roles and being part of productions from beginning to end has given me a much deeper appreciation for the entire process. Understanding what happens before the footage ever reaches the editing room has also made me a stronger, more thoughtful editor and a more well-rounded filmmaker.
